GIVE ME LOVE FOR THE LOST

To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. (1 Corinthians 9:22)

When we come into maturity stage in our relationship with God, we would want to take responsibility to do the Father’s business. The more we love God the more we understand our Father’s heart beat -Saving souls. Read Luke 16:19-31 about the rich man and Lazarus. The rich man was focus on the world that he lost focus on what is eternal.

It is time for the lost to enter the house of God.  Sow the word of the LORD, the Holy Spirit will convict the people around us.  Our duty is to share Jesus and the gospel of salvation, reach out to our surrounding for their names to be written the book of life.  Ask God for the anointing of wisdom Jesus says I am the way, the truth and the life.  Without Jesus, we do not possess eternal life.

Let us begin to open our hearts and see the opportunity to share the word of the Lord.  Develop the habit little by little to introduce others to Christ. Loving the lost is not a natural love, it needs the Spirit of the Lord.  Many times, we think that we love people but we really do not until we are truly concerned for their eternity.

If we love God, we will love His most precious creations, our fellow neighbor. Our heart must be broken for the lost for the anointing comes by loving the lost souls. Let us be very honest if we have the passion for the lost.  Pray to our Father to give us the opportunity to win souls, we need to look through God’s eyes; His passion for souls.

Henry Jowett – a great preacher over 100 years wrote a book called ‘the passion for souls.’ We can never heal the needs we do feel. Tearless hearts can never be heralds of the passion. We must pity if we would redeem, we must bleed if we minister of this saving blood. The disciples’ prayer must be stricken which much crying and many tears, the minister of Calvary must supplicate the bloody sweat, and the intercessors must often touch the point of agony. True intercessory is a sacrifice, a bleeding sacrifice.

Hebert Lockyer’ ‘Tears win victories. A cold, unfeeling, dry-eyed religion has no influence over the souls of men.’

Hudson Taylor – he took the unique decision to be a Chinaman to win Chinamen. What do I mean that he became a china man, to shaved his hair off, he kept a long traditional pony tail that the Chinamen had, he dyed it black and in the process he almost blinded himself. He continually wore Chinese dress. His actions not only shocked the British people at home, but it was shocking to the Chinese. He has gone native, and as far as the British were concerned he had lost all credibility, went to be extent of labelling him as traitor to the Empire. But he sells all his liberty aside and became enslaved to their customs in order to win them – now that is a vision!

Hudson Taylor shocked the Chinese by becoming as one of them and He began to win the Chinese for Christ.

Do we have the same fervency to share Jesus with others when we first accepted Christ?  Do we have the compassion for the lost?  The word of God will germinate in their life because His words is alive and powerful. Let the Holy Spirit begins to do a deep work in the lives of people around us.  We need to have the heart of intercession for the lost.  Jesus went for the 1 lost soul over the 99 saved.

Learn to sow the seeds and intercede for the lost soul.  Winning one more person for Jesus is a life that is pleasing to God.  Our Christianity should be in action not merely words - actively winning souls. If we want revival to happen, we need to have passion for souls.  Share the word of God whenever the need arises.  Only the blood of Jesus can wash away our sins, not religions or rituals.  True love is always costly and worthless love always costs nothing. Start our evangelism by going down on our knees in prayers.  The Lord will open up our eyes to the things unseen, He will break our heart with what breaks His.  Pray for them that they may experience a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. When their experience becomes a reality, they would desire to believe in Jesus and become a disciple.

We may have compassion for dead people, when people die of accidents or calamities but yet for the living we don’t have the sense of urgency. Jesus is the Son of God the only way in which men can be saved.  Witnessing should be our lifestyle and our desire to populate heaven.  Those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven and those who lead the many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever. The bible tells us in Proverbs 11:30, “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and the one who is wise wins souls.” Be the channels of God’s love for God desires none to perish.
