Summary of the Sermon by Pastor Floyd Ellsworth, Oasis Community Worship Center, Texas, USA, ministering at Bethany International Service, on Sunday, 20 August 2017.

On My Way to Heaven

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

As we are on our way to Heaven, what can we take to Heaven? Precious souls.  When we get to Heaven Jesus would ask us:  who did you bring with us?  Who is going to Heaven because of us?  We do not want to show up before the King empty handed.

The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) is compulsory.  GO THEREFORE and make disciples of all the nations!  Everybody can do something to be His witness.  We must live our life to obey the Great Commission at all costs.

Before Jesus commanded us the Great Commission, He has given us ALL authority in Heaven.  As we obey Him He will equip us with His authority.  Our God can heal sicknesses.

If we lay hands and pray for the sick in the Name of JESUS, healing will take place.  God has given us His authority to witness in His Name.  Do not be afraid!  There are more miracles happening outside the church during witnessing than in the church!  We have the authority when we go out to share the Gospel.

We can command every demon to set people free.  We need to be a willing vessel to serve God and reach out to them with the love of God.

God has sent us to GO, we will see HIS signs and wonders on the Earth.  We have all the heavenly power to back us up.  We have to be serious about the Great Commission.  This is not optional for us.

If this Gospel is hidden, it is hidden to those who are lost.  People out there are waiting for us to share the Good News of salvation.  Go in His Name.

The only thing that can stop us from witnessing is our self, it is not the devil.  We may be the only open Bible for others.

We have a huge responsibility to save souls.

1.       Ask God for a heart for the lost.  (Luke 19:10)

Have a heart like Jesus for the lost.  Pray first and then witness, this should be the order.

2.       Be determined to reach as many souls as possible.

If it is not intentional, it won’t happen.  Witnessing is incidental.  One more person for Jesus is GOD's idea.

3.       Call on the Holy Spirit.

We can't be a witness without the power of the Holy Spirit.  God will help us to reach out.  God will be with you when you go out to witness.

We may be receiving a negative response when we share the love of Christ.  Nevertheless, allow the Holy Spirit to work in the hearts of people we have evangelized.

How to reach out to others?  We need to build relationships with non-believers.  The love of Christ never fails.  Give them your ear.  Be willing to listen to them.  Hear their crisis, challenges, and problems.  The Holy Spirit will show us how to minister to them.

Allow the Holy Spirit to work.

Harvest:  we will reap the lost souls.  Here is how we can reach out to others.  Use REACH:-

Relationship – Build a relationship with those who do not know Jesus.

Ear – Give them your ear.

Allow – Allow the Holy Spirit to reach out to the people.

Compassion – We need compassion to have passion for the lost

Harvest – Go and gather the harvest.

The best gift we can give to God is LOST SOULS.

This is what we want to happen:  Well done My good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord.

This is what we don't want to happen:  Depart from Me! I don't know you.

Don't go to Heaven without our loved ones.  Don't let people die without Jesus.  Love others enough for them to enjoy eternal life with Christ.

BRING ONE MORE PERSON FOR JESUS!
